76944123Fall is synonymous with beer in Colorado, so it seemed appropriate to highlight a few brew-centric offerings from around the state taking place this month, including some from Turner PR’s clients. The second annual Denver Beer Fest kicks off Sept. 10, boasting a full lineup of events throughout the city, including a few that foodies will appreciate at the Hotel Teatro.  Enjoy a fabulous four-course tasting menu at Restaurant Kevin Taylor, featuring hand-crafted Colorado brews from Great Divide Brewing Company, or visit Prima Ristorante for an array of Great Divide brews paired with beer-inspired dishes.  Guests are welcome to try a flight, a pint or create their own tasting menu, all week long.

Capella Telluride is offering a festival-enhancing package perfect for those making the pilgrimage to the 17th annual Blues and Brews festival, Sept. 17-19.  It’s the ideal way to relax after a day of music and microbrews. On a similar note, Capella Telluride recently introduced four brews exclusively crafted for its Onyx restaurant and Suede Bar.  The custom “Constellation” beers were created by Chris Fish, brewmaster of Telluride’s own Smuggler’s Brewery.   Inspired by Capella, the brightest star in the Auriga constellation, the brews feature local ingredients designed to pair with menu favorites at the hotel, and range from an espresso-infused porter to a therapeutic green tea-based cider.

Other notable events around the state include Denver’s Great American Beer Festival (GABF), which takes place Sept. 16-18 and continues to draw record-breaking crowds each year.  The GABF is the American brewing industry’s foremost public tasting event and competition, sampling more than 2,000 beers from more than 450 breweries.  If you’re more interested in German flavor, or just looking for an occasion to wear your lederhosen, we have several!  The town of Vail will host two full weekends of Oktoberfest in Lionshead and Vail Village, Sept. 10-12 and 17-19, while Breckenridge celebrates its 16th annual Oktoberfest Sept. 17-19.  Finally, Oktoberfest Denver marks its 41st year of festivities, Sept. 17-19 and 24-26.  Cheers!
