Right Here, Right Nau: Nau’s Winter 2011 Collection
Portland-based outfitter Nau (pronounced “now”) brought its Winter 2011 Collection to New York for a media preview hosting some of the city’s top fashion editors and bloggers. The OpenHouse Gallery space at 19 Kenmare was transformed into a two-day pop-up showroom highlighting the brand’s sustainable urban + outdoor apparel. All of Nau’s designs are constructed from natural, renewable fibers and are designed with ease of movement in mind. Attendees checked out the brand’s latest offerings showcased through chic, stylized looks ideal for commuting, hitting the slopes and everyday wear throughout the cooler months. Editor favorites were Nau’s wool items, that had a similar feel to cotton, and the brand’s lightweight down jackets made from white goose down.
Also popular were Nau’s tailored performance blazers for both men and women. Fitting with the holiday season, attendees were also excited to learn about Nau’s charitable ties― 2% of every sale benefits a range of humanitarian and environmental causes through Partners for Change. Editors left the event with Nau-branded Kleen Kanteens and down scarves.
