Airwalk Teams Up with Project Fathom for “Already Famous” Documentary
With over 25 years in the business, Airwalk has seen the skate industry grow by leaps and bounds. Now they are a part of another exciting growth: the urban skate movement. Airwalk has teamed up with Brooklyn-based creative agency, Project Fathom, to produce the documentary film, Already Famous. At the top of the summer season, Airwalk launched the first in a series of summer events.
“We’re trying to tell an urban story that’s really vibrant in skate right now, but doesn’t necessarily have a big stage,” said Eric Dreyer, VP of Brand Management for Collective International, in an interview with Transworld Business.
Dreyer also notes that the Already Famous campaign will last throughout the remainder of the year with the documentary premiering this Fall. But what have been the struggles of filming this documentary? Mitchell Ware, Project Fathom’s Creative Director, also sounded off in the interview.
“Often when you’re filming people who have never been on camera before, they will produce caricatures of themselves. It takes a while to get to the essence of who someone truly is,” Ware said.
