Bermuda’s Hotels And Resorts Are Better Than Ever In 2018

There are a million reasons to visit Bermuda in 2018 – but one of them is the elevated, expanded and brand new accommodations offerings on the island, located just two hours from most major U.S. east coast airports.

The ultra-luxury  Rosewood Bermuda (formerly known as Rosewood Tucker's Point), just completed a comprehensive $25 million re-imagination elevated every aspect of the award-winning resort. But don’t take our word for it: “The new and improved Rosewood Bermuda is ready for its close-up,” wrote the Robb Report this month. The renovation includes the complete redesign of the resort's guestrooms, Beach Club, Golf Clubhouse and Sense, A Rosewood Spa®, as well as enhanced meeting space and new food and beverage outlets and concepts.

Willowbank Resort is set to re-open under new management this month following a complete renovation of the property. All 50 rooms boast Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs and mini-fridges for guests’ convenience. Located in Somerset on the western end of the island, the resort features two beautiful beaches, refurbished pool, tennis court, new basketball court, fitness gym and children’s area – plus it provides complimentary shuttle service for dine-arounds.

A custom high-end private island vacation escape has completed its first phase on  Hawkins Island, one of Bermuda’s most spectacular and exclusive locales. Exclusive hire includes the use of the Main Villa and the Guard House and land/water transfers, plus your own private chef. The Main Villa sleeps eight guests and consists of an upper two-bedroom master suite and two lower one-bedroom units. The Guard House accommodates another eight guests: two in a one-bedroom and six in the war room bunks.

The new  Azura Boutique Hotel and Residences plans to host its first hotel guests in early 2019. While construction at the Azura (formerly the Surf Side Beach Club) is still ongoing, the inaugural residences on the Warwick-based property are expected to be ready by this spring. The initial phase of the project will include 21 hotel residences containing up to 46 hotel beds. Construction at  Caroline Bay is well underway. The 182-acre ultra-luxury waterfront destination located on the West end of the island will feature the new Ritz-Carlton Reserve with 77 guest rooms and two presidential villas, as well as 173 Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residences. This one-of-a-kind destination for the island is already home to  Caroline Bay Marina, which offers space for up to 33 transient superyachts; 80 berths exclusively for Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence owners; and the Caroline Bay Marina Yacht Club.

The  St. Regis Hotel in the historic Town of St. George broke ground in early May 2017, with a projected 2020 opening date. The new hotel will feature 122 rooms and suites, an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones and a casino, among other amenities.
