This job is *all* travel. **[According to CNBC](https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/27/this-airline-will-pay-you-4000-a-month-to-travel-with-your-bff.html)**, Icelandic budget airline  **[WOW air](https://wowair.us/)** is looking for two people to make downtown Reykjavik their home base for the summer and make short trips to a selection of the  **[38 locations](https://wowair.us/travel-info/airports/)** the airline flies to. Cities serviced by WOW airlines include Barcelona, Berlin, Montreal, New York, Paris and Tel Aviv. The pay is pretty good, too – a cool four grand a month. Travelers, get your resumes in order! ## The Perfect Summer Road Trip Only two lucky applicants will be selected by WOW air. But even if you aren’t one of them, your summer wanderlust can be fulfilled by a classic road trip. **[Travel Pulse has 15 tips for making your journey absolutely perfect](https://www.travelpulse.com/gallery/features/15-tips-for-the-perfect-summer-road-trip.html)**. We like this bit of advice: “Unless you've got lots of distance to cover in a short amount of time, look for opportunities to get off of the highway and really dive into a new destination … [S]ome added miles off of your planned route could lead to discovering your new favorite restaurant or a charming small town you didn't know existed.” Get ready to explore. ## Keep It Like A Secret With a whole world to choose from, it can be tough to nail down where exactly you want to travel. But what if you didn’t have to decide? The eco-friendly vacation rental startup  **[Slow Cabins](http://www.slowcabins.be/)** is all about that: you won’t know where you’re going until the reservation is made. **[According to PSFK](https://www.psfk.com/2018/04/slow-cabins-travel-secret-locations.html)**, “The aim is to allow customers to unplug, unwind and relax without having to pay too much attention to where their vacation will take place.” In other words, if you’re a control freak, this service might not be for you. ## Spontaneous Adventure Maybe you want to control your travel plans a bit – but not too much! If you’ve ever gone to an airport without a clear destination in mind, there are apps for that. **[The New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/19/travel/smartphone-apps-for-spontaneous-travel.html)** has a roundup: “While travelers have long been able to set up airfare alerts using  **[Google Flights,](https://www.google.com/flights/) [Skyscanner,](https://www.skyscanner.com/) [Kayak](https://www.kayak.com/)** and a host of other web-based tools, the following apps go a step further in helping budget-conscious people who want to go somewhere but don’t know (or care) where.” We especially, like **[HotelTonight](https://www.hoteltonight.com/)**, an app that offers travelers last-minute, same-day hotel deals and in-app ratings from users. ## Weekly Moment of Zen Travel isn’t what it used to be. **[Check out these vintage Rand-McNally atlases](https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/rand-mcnally-vintage-atlases/index.html)**. - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) [![All-Inclusive Appeal](https://www.turnerpr.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/all-inclusive-2-3.png) ](https://www.turnerpr.com/spin-kitchen/all-inclusive-appeal) #### [All-Inclusive Appeal](https://www.turnerpr.com/spin-kitchen/all-inclusive-appeal) [Tyler Wilcox](https://www.turnerpr.com/spin-kitchen/author/tyler-wilcox) : November 01, 2021 A curated collection of can’t-miss news from this week, including 2021 travel trends and more.
