New Short Film Showcases the Magic of Estes Park Rock Climbing

Written by Tyler Wilcox | August 12, 2019

There’s nothing quite like the transformative power of rock climbing in Estes Park. But a new short film, Estes Inspired: Tommy Caldwell, comes close. Starring Estes Park native and world-renowned rock climber Tommy Caldwell and his extended family, it features gorgeous hi-def cinematography and insightful interviews with Tommy. Take five minutes to check it out below.

“Visit Estes Park didn’t want a traditional approach,” says TURNER’s Vice President of Media Relations Campbell Levy, who co-produced the project. “Our storytelling was rooted in how Estes Park inspires and shapes people. We felt Tommy’s story would correlate to Estes’ primary messaging of accessible adventure, family-friendly and timelessness. It came to life beautifully as we worked with Tommy’s family.”

To create the film, TURNER worked with producer Alex Rosen, known for his work with CNN, HBO, Showtime, Vice, and many other outlets. TURNER developed the storyline and scripted with Caldwell. The film was shot in and around Estes Park for three days (including Rocky Mountain National Park). The video is the first installment in the Estes Inspired series, which will spotlight other Estes Park locals and their unique stories. Stay tuned …
