Instagram Collaboration

There are challengers, but Instagram remains one of the most powerful social media platforms around. Instagram isn’t letting itself go idle, however. The platform plans to roll out several new features in the upcoming months. One of the most interesting is the “Collaborative Posts” feature, which will allow two creators to share a post — and either can manage it. According to Digital Information World, the new feature will be “beneficial for the creators and businesses on the application who are always finding new ways to collaborate with each other.”

Spaces On Twitter

Twitter has some new tricks up its sleeves, too. The platform just introduced Spaces, a live audio chatroom feature. That’s right, it’s kind of like Clubhouse, the live podcasting app that has been making waves in recent months. Any Twitter user with more than 600 followers can host live audio chatrooms to connect with other people in a real-time fashion. Twitter Spaces will also support multiple co-hosts and offer ways for creators to monetize their content.

Post-Pandemic Pinterest

Gen Z is ready for life to get back to normal after Covid-19 — and the proof is on Pinterest. According to Search Engine Journal, “Pinterest searches among users in the Gen Z demographic are up 96 percent year-over-year. In particular, the company reports “skyrocketing” searches for vacations, clothes, and home renovations.” It looks as though Gen Z wants to travel in style, with terms like “dream vacation destinations” and “luxury vacations” way up.

TikTok News

TikTok isn’t just about dance crazes and memes. The social media platform has emerged in recent months as a new source, according to the Washington Post. Kalina Newman writes: “Personalities unaffiliated with any traditional media outlet are aggregating national headlines and the latest news — and delivering it to millions, many of them young viewers, on the video platform.”
