Book ‘Em, Google

Last year, Google gave us Google Trips, its very own travel-planning app. This week, the tech giant introduced a major update that will help users stay organized. Previously, the app’s best feature was that it connected to Gmail, allowing it to automatically import travel plans. The update expands its inbox-parsing capabilities to find your bus and train reservations as well. Also, a user will be able to enter reservations manually, for those cases where he or she hasn’t received an email confirmation. We think it’s time to book a trip to try this out – don’t you agree?

What Should I Wear Today, Alexa?

Picking out the perfect outfit can be time-consuming, right? Well, say hello to Amazon’s Alexa-powered Echo Look, your new personal style assistant. The device takes a picture of your current ensemble (which you can share on your social media feeds) and creates a “look book” to track your fashion choices over time. The device also allows you to set reminders and lets you know if it's going to rain – always useful. Right now Echo Look is only available by invite, but you can request one on this page.

Apps For The Great Outdoors

Exploring the great outdoors gives you the chance to unplug from technology and escape that constant online noise we hear every day. But there are a couple of apps that could make your outdoor experiences even better. Yonder allows users to search locations for their next adventure as well as explore virtually through user-generated images around the world. Using RecGovCamp, you can search for and reserve public campsites, an awesome resource for that last-minute weekend trip. Tweet us your fav apps to use while you’re exploring @turnerpr.

Sway Time

Keeping the mind, body and soul in a state of zen is extremely important, now more than ever. Sway, an interactive meditation app, guides you as you make slow and gentle movements. It starts with a few minutes of guided “swaying” and then increases the time each daily session lasts until you’re clocking 20 minutes of serene movement per day. The end result? Total inner peace … or at least a little bit of much-needed calm. The app can be bought from the App Store and will cost you $2.99.
