YouTube Introduces Eyewitness Videos

With Periscope and Snapchat quickly gaining popularity, YouTube is no longer the go-to platform for real-time sharing of news and events. A Social Network for Freelancers

The Washington Post built a custom, LinkedIn-connected social network for its freelancers to better match skills to stories. The social network showed off a prototype of its new mobile ad unit at Cannes Lions earlier this week, going beyond links and carousels to an interactive, 360-degree fully immersive ad experience that relies on video and can be navigated with one finger. This is another huge step for mobile advertising as video content continues to gain traction in the social space.
