TURNER Named One of OUTSIDE Magazine’s “50 Best Places to Work in 2023”

By Christine Turner, Founder + President

I’m proud to share that TURNER has been recognized as No. 5 on OUTSIDE Magazine's Top 50 Best Places To Work in 2023. While this isn’t the first time we’ve been included on this prestigious list, it’s never something we take for granted.

We’ve always known that our people are our most valuable assets and OUTSIDE’s recognition is a testament to the sense of community we’ve worked hard to foster for many years. It’s a celebration of a workplace culture that encourages innovation, promotes a healthy work-life balance and provides a platform for personal and professional growth.

This accomplishment is a reflection of our core values, which guide our everyday actions. It reaffirms our commitment to maintaining a positive work environment, championing diversity and inclusion, and nurturing a culture of respect and collaboration. We’re committed to empowering our associates to excel, not just as employees but as individuals. Thanks to every team member for making this recognition possible. You all make TURNER a place where people not only want to work but love to work.

There are a lot of good reasons that TURNER has been included year after year in OUTSIDE's rankings. Here’s just a few from our team:

  • A Hybrid Work Schedule + Endless Early Fridays—We like to kick off our weekend adventures in the great outdoors a little early year-round.
  • Amazing Clients: From Australia, Wisconsin and South Carolina, to Osprey, Hydro Flask and Mindbody, we represent all the places you want to go, and the items you'd pack for your journey.
  • TURNER U: Our professional development program keeps us up on the latest industry trends, cutting-edge tools and more. Oh, and occasionally, we just learn about wine.
  • TURNER Ignite: Every team member has the ability to receive a stipend toward personal or professional development experiences that support growth.
  • Recess: Work and play become one in the hands of TURNER's recess committee, focusing on employee connection and engagement. From trivia contests to happy hours and baseball games, this team makes sure we step away from our laptops for wellness breaks. We also always have stocked wine fridges, corn hole, puzzles and our local craft beer kegerator ready to go.
  • Paid Volunteer Days: It’s in our DNA to give back. We organize group volunteer outings, and each employee receives three paid volunteer days annually.
  • Dog-Friendly Offices: Four-legged furry friends are welcome at the office, and yes, we have an internal Hive channel devoted entirely to dogs.
  • Paid Parental Leave and Generous PTO: Paid parental leave and generous PTO averaging 25 days, unlimited PTO at 10 years, plus an additional week at year-end.
  • Mental Health Support: Self-care counts — and that’s why TURNER offers weekly meditation sessions, complimentary Calm App subscriptions and access to Ginger, a mobile app that provides text-based mental wellness coaching at any time.
